Opening doors – and keeping them open.

Opening doors – and keeping them open.

Towards an equitable future.

Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. At Langara, we are committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) by creating learning environments and spaces where all students feel welcome and valued.

“I am passionate about supporting women, which I plan to do with my studies. Thanks to the generosity of donors, I can focus on my education instead of worrying about my finances.”
– Faron, recipient of the Anne Latimer Memorial Bursary for Women

Langara College Foundation collaborates with community partners to support students who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, single parents, those with accessibility needs, and other underrepresented groups. By addressing inequities and expanding opportunities, we can ensure education is truly accessible to everyone.

Donor-funded initiatives like the “49 Women in Science” campaign are helping to break down barriers in male-dominated fields by supporting and spotlighting women pursuing careers in science and technology. We’ve also seen tremendous momentum through our support of student-led groups like the Black Student Union, the Langara South Asian Collective, and the Langara Pride Society — organizations that offer vital community, advocacy, and celebration on campus.

A future Multifaith Centre will build on our existing Interfaith Room, creating a welcoming, respectful space where students of all religions — or none — can reflect, connect, and practice their beliefs freely. In today’s world, such spaces are essential for building understanding and community across differences.

Your donation to EDI initiatives can:

  • Fund scholarships and bursaries for equity-deserving students.
  • Send students to national and international leadership conferences.

Support programs like “49 Women in Science,” the creation of a Multifaith Centre, and student-led equity initiatives like the Black Student Union.
