Part personal storytelling, part teen dance competition and part 80s Save-On-Foods lore, Something May Come Down on You asks: could this be doomed from the start? What unfolds is a chain of near-misses and almost-miracles, teetering on the edge of collapse.

Randi Edmundson Co-Director

RandiEdmundson.jpgRandi Edmundson wears many hats in the world of theatre, including producing, directing, performance and design. Her passion for puppetry has taken her across the country and the globe. With her Jessie-Richardson Award-winning company Little Onion Puppet Co., Randi has toured multiple original puppet works across Western Canada. She holds a BFA in Performance from the University of Victoria and an MFA in Directing from the University of Calgary. Randi is grateful to create as a freelance artist on unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territory in Vancouver and as Artistic Producer of Project X Theatre on unceded Secwepemc territory in Kamloops.

Keely O'Brien Co-Director

KeelyOBrien.jpgKeely O'Brien is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice incorporates handmade objects with innovative theatre creation. Devoted to a thoroughly DIY process, Keely’s work includes experimental performance, imaginative ephemera and interactive experiences. She often creates collaborative projects with community members who may not consider themselves artists and invites the public to participate in unusual meaning-making experiences. Keely is Co-Artistic Director of Popcorn Galaxies, a theatre company with a focus on unconventionally structured, site-specific and audience-activated performance. She holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Simon Fraser University, and is a self and family-taught visual artist. She lives in Richmond, BC, on unceded territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking peoples.

Studio 58 offers professional theatre training for actors and production personnel. The six terms of practical training consist of intensive classroom work as well as performance and backstage experience in productions. Production students and third term acting students operate sound, lighting and video and act as running crew and stage management.
