The Student Life team is available online and in-person in the Hub, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am–4:30 pm.
The Hub is closed on Thursdays between 10:30 am - 11:30 am.

More about Alexandra (she/her):

Alexandra provides support and leadership to the Student Life team to foster opportunities for a quality student experience outside of the classroom. 

Alexandra, or Xandi (zan-dee) as she prefers to be called, holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sociology (Saint Francis Xavier University) and a Master of Arts in Immigration and Settlement Studies (Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson University). With over 10 years of experience working within the broad spectrum of international education, she now brings her enthusiasm for community building, learning, and supporting students realize their potentials over to Student Life. 

Outside of the office, Xandi is a competitive powerlifter, Electric Circus enthusiast, and exhausted dance mom.

More about Roberta (she/her):

Roberta is a dedicated Community Engagement Coordinator and a proud Langara Alumni, having graduated from the Marketing Management PDD program. She also holds degrees in Communications and Journalism, as well as Law from Brazil. Her diverse background and experience in the athletics department reflect her passion for sports and communication.

Roberta is committed to helping students navigate their journey at Langara, drawing from her own experiences to support and inspire them. She is passionate about making every student's experience the best it can be.

Outside of work, Roberta enjoys live sports, indulging in good coffee, and is always ready to strike up a conversation about the latest game or her favorite brew.

More about Liam (he/him):

Liam received his Bachelor of Arts in human geography (University of British Columbia) where he published research on creative placemaking in a post-secondary environment.

Liam’s work in events and community engagement includes working at UBC with both the Arts & Culture District and Campus + Community Planning. He has also developed his own initiatives, such as UBC Drag, an art collective focused on serving queer students, and managed one of Canada’s oldest running music and cultural festivals, The Hornby Festival (est. 1982). Liam understands the unique culture and experiences that post-secondary environments offer and is passionate about creating inclusive spaces that foster community and engagement for all students.

Outside of work, you can find Liam hiking, enjoying theatre performances, and volunteering at events in the community.
